Who runs the reader list

The reader list offered inside the game The Goat Named Prometheus is operated by M.H. Foster, the author of The Demon Overlord’s Retirement Plan. Contact: galornusprime@gmail.com.

What we collect, and why

If you choose to join the list, we collect the email address you enter, together with the moment of signup, whether your run ended in a win, and which signup form sent it. We use it for exactly two things: delivering the free sample chapter you asked for, and sending occasional news about the books. The legal basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email. You must be 16 or over to join. To prevent abuse, the network address of a signup request is held for about a minute for rate limiting and then discarded.

The game itself needs no account. Your progress, unlocks, and scores are stored on your own device. The leaderboard keeps only a village name and a score, never personal details.

Where it is processed

Emails are sent and the list is managed by Kit (ConvertKit LLC, USA, certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension). A backup record of your consent is kept with Upstash (EU region). The site is hosted by Vercel.

Analytics

We measure gameplay and site traffic with anonymous, cookieless statistics. IP addresses are discarded, no advertising trackers are used, and nothing measured is linked to your email address.

Your rights

Unsubscribe with one click in any email. For access or deletion of your data, write to the address above and we will act on both our systems. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you may complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
